Privacy

Short version: your sites stay in your browser. There are no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.

Your sites and images

• Everything you make is stored in your browser on this device (its built-in database). It isn't uploaded anywhere, and we can't see it.
• Moving a site to another computer is up to you: download a backup file and open it there.
• Deleting a site in SinePress removes it and its images from this browser. Clearing your browser's site data removes everything, so keep backups of anything important.

No tracking

• No cookies, analytics or advertising scripts in the editor.
• Fonts are served by SinePress itself, not by Google or anyone else.
• The sites you download contain no SinePress tracking either. If you add a form, it sends to the service you chose (WhatsApp, your email app, Formspree, Web3Forms, Netlify or your own address); their privacy terms apply to those messages.

Premium templates

Only if you use premium templates does anything reach our licence server, which runs on Cloudflare:

• The template list is downloaded so the gallery can show what's available.
• When you unlock with a licence key, the key is checked with Gumroad (where you bought it). We keep a one-way fingerprint of the key (not the key itself), which product it is, and for each browser using it a random id, a short name such as "Chrome on Linux" and when it was last used, so you can see and remove your browsers (up to 3).
• Template downloads are checked against that record. Downloaded templates are then kept in your browser and work offline.
• Like any web server, Cloudflare briefly processes your IP address to deliver these requests and to limit repeated key guessing.
• Your purchase itself (name, email, payment) is handled by Gumroad under Gumroad's privacy policy.

Publishing (SinePress Hosting)

Only when you press Publish does your site leave your browser:

• The finished website (the same files as Download site, never your hidden sections or drafts) is uploaded to our hosting service on Cloudflare and shown publicly at the address you chose.
• We keep your key encrypted (to check renewals with Gumroad), the site's address, title and own domain, and the current and previous version of its files.
• Hosted sites contain no SinePress tracking. Cloudflare processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver the pages and stop attacks.
• Unpublish deletes the site's files and records straight away.

To remove a browser from your key, use Premium templates → Remove. To have your key's record deleted entirely, contact us using the address on your Gumroad receipt.
